- Machine wash cold, inside out, on a gentle cycle with mild detergent and similar colors.
- Use non-chlorine bleach only when necessary. Do not use fabric softener.
- Tumble dry on low or hang dry for the longest life.

As two women raised in the diaspora, we know how important it is to keep your children connected to their Balkan roots from day one.
The greatest gift our parents gave us was knowing where we came from. The language, humor, traditions, stories and unmistakable feeling of home. It shaped who we are, even while growing up far from the Balkans.
When Maria, a proud Romanian, and Danica, a proud Serbian, met at university in Canada, that shared connection brought them together instantly. Years later, it became the heart of Balkanish.
We created these baby bodysuits for the next generation of the diaspora: small, everyday reminders of the culture you’re proudly passing down. Because they’re never too little to know where they come from, and there is no greater gift than giving them roots they can carry for life.
Every design is created in-house by Maria and Danica, thoughtful, personal and made to keep our culture alive, one generation at a time.

We don’t mass-produce. We make each piece when you order it. That’s how we keep everything original, intentional, and made for the diaspora.
Your order will typically be processed within 2–7 business days. Once it’s on its way, most deliveries arrive within 5–10 business days, depending on your location.
Good things take a little time, especially the ones that actually mean something.

Because all of our items are made to order, we offer replacements or refunds in the following cases:
